Volume was the order of the day (capacity not loudness!). Our estimating and measuring skills have been stretched to the limit. Thank you to all the children who attended - you were brilliant!
Day 1 consisted of estimating and calculating with weights and then making some (delicious) cakes without the use of weighing scales!

Year 6 are learning to skate. Some of us have already mastered lemons! Come back for more pictures and video in the next 4 weeks!
2 weeks ago, Year 6 were given the challenge of presenting their knowledge and understanding of the much maligned King Richard III. Was he really the evil character in Shakespeare's play? Some groups decided to re-tell Shakespeare's now famous portrayal of Richard whilst some groups looked at explaining and detailing the amazing findings recently discovered about Richard, after his body was found underneath a Leicester car park. Just after half-term, there will be an exhibition of the children's work for parents and carers to see. We will also post links on the website to show some of the other more technological creations. You can have an early look at the website created by Daniyal, Florin, Gurkirpa and Yusuf (the password for the site is 'sheep6'). There is also a sneak peek of one of the models created below!
Very recently, the route Richard's body will take on his final journey to Leicester Cathedral was announced so our project has coincided brilliantly with Richard being laid to rest.
