2 weeks ago, Year 6 were given the challenge of presenting their knowledge and understanding of the much maligned King Richard III. Was he really the evil character in Shakespeare's play? Some groups decided to re-tell Shakespeare's now famous portrayal of Richard whilst some groups looked at explaining and detailing the amazing findings recently discovered about Richard, after his body was found underneath a Leicester car park. Just after half-term, there will be an exhibition of the children's work for parents and carers to see. We will also post links on the website to show some of the other more technological creations. You can have an early look at the website created by Daniyal, Florin, Gurkirpa and Yusuf (the password for the site is 'sheep6'). There is also a sneak peek of one of the models created below!
Very recently, the route Richard's body will take on his final journey to Leicester Cathedral was announced so our project has coincided brilliantly with Richard being laid to rest.

Year 6 spent 2 Fridays visiting Trent Bridge to find out about the wonderful game of cricket plus the history of Trent Bridge and cricket in Nottingham. Special thanks to Graeme and Peter for being so accommodating and helping us to learn so many new things!
The Year 6 House Captains were announced just before the House Basketball competition - they will be officially presented with their badges on Thursday. The captains first task was to organise their basketball team (no easy feat with the clamouring and the excitement about playing!).
