I think some people are scared of the dark because they can't see anything, and they could be worried about things surrounding them. But that just my opinion 😉.

Many people are scared of the dark which could be a phobia or a fear,it can be lead to panic attacks, heart attacks or death.Mainly many people are scared of the dark(children) because they are told lies(ghosts, bogeymen, devil or monsters). When they are told that they are very scared. It may affect them when they are asleep(nightmears).

fear of darkness is not usually of the dark itself but fear of possible or imagined dangers.

I think people are scared of the dark because there are no lights and they can trip over some thing. They are also scared of the dark because they have been watching to many horror films and think that the scary people in that film are going to be in the dark room.

People aren't actually scared of the dark, they are scared of what may happen to them.If they have been watching horror films they tend to think that somebody-ghosts,monsters,Dracula- might come and take them away or eat them.

.Some people can suffer blindness which means they can see darkness. However if you experience blindness for the first time you will be worried.

I think people are scared of the dark because when they are a toddler and when they start to grow they hear or talk about ghosts and that scares them when they have to go somewhere dark they start to get scared. The lights are usually turned off at night. When they start to watch horror films that's why they get fear in themselves.
