We have spent a week looking at the challenges which face the next generation in regards to energy production. We have learnt all about fossil fuels: when they will run out and the problems they are causing for our environment; renewable energy sources and how to design and build machines which can generate electricity!

Designing and Building

We looked very carefully at other energy production and decided what we could re-create in the classroom - our idea: an axle which turns a turbine. After a lot of debating and experimenting, we found ways to make our home-made turbine spin. This year we have generated more electricity than ever before - well done!
