To inspire our poetry writing (based on Walter de la Mare's "Silver") we went to Highfields Park for the day!

We focused on our senses, asking ourselves what we could see, hear, smell and touch. We also spent some time sketching what we could see.

The children had a fabulous time and we have produced some incredible poems, which we are excited to share at our poetry showcase after the half-term break!
