Sports Day is today - Key Stage 1 are heading to St. Mary's now and will be taking part in sports all morning, whilst Key Stage 2 will be taking part this afternoon. Look back for photos throughout the day.
The countdown has begun to our first ever residential in London! I hope you are all packing your bags - make sure you have everything on the kit list and don't forget your packed tea! Come back tomorrow for build up to the exciting evening in The Natural History Museum! The Year 6 cricket teams headed over to Carrington Cricket Club to take part in one of the two city finals with a place in the county finals at stake. IntoUniversity is a study centre at The Vine Community Centre offering academic support to children in Key Stage 2 on a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons from 4-5pm. Although we didn't manage to shift the entire dinner service outside onto the playground, we still had a magnificent lunchtime and our teddies loved it. See the slideshow below for more photos! Over the last two days, Skippy John has been teaching the whole school how to skip professionally: remember to turn the rope, not throw it and to bounce not jump! Tomorrow is one of the most eagerly awaited days of the year for the Year 6 children: the sneak preview of their James Bond film! There will be a parents' screening later in the year and a showing in school for the rest of Key Stage 2. Over the last few days, the children have been designing film posters to persuade people to watch their film; filmed a documentary about the character of Bond and their film; written persuasive letters to the film's director putting their artwork forward for inclusion on the DVD release and finally started to look at how graphic novels are made from the book counterparts! Phew, what an exhausting week straight after SATs! |
