Our Giving Page for the Sport Relief Mile now stands at a stupendous £900. This is absolutely amazing - thank you to everyone who sponsored us! This takes us past our record total of £1500 set three years ago for Red Nose Day. This wouldn't have been possible without everyone's generosity, willingness to give up time and energy and the teamwork and commitment shown by the whole school community! Thank you again! What a weekend! The football team drew one match and lost the other against Bentinck this afternoon. The boys played well and Ben scored an amazing goal - details to follow from chief reporter: Mrs Greaves. Post match comment from Mr Price too! Our spirited cricketers went to play in the indoor centre at Trent Bridge this evening. Head over to the Year 6 blog for photos and reaction! Well done to all 58 children and the numerous members of staff who completed the mile run at Newstead Abbey this morning. You were all amazing! You can still sponsor us - our total is now £600 for the run. We are closing in on our all time total for any fundraising event of £1500! Click here to sponsor us. More photos will be uploaded later this afternoon. Watch for our flag (thanks Mr G!) - skip to 2.29 for a fast forward to us! Just for the Welsh boys in Year 5, here's a special picture. This afternoon, the Year 5 and 6 Rugby team played in a competition at Highfields against schools which had more than one team. We did incredibly well, winning one match and drawing another. Head over to the Year 5 blog for more pictures. Sport Relief will hit Scotholme tomorrow with the usual bang! There will be many events for the children to take part in including: penalty shoot outs, skipping races and press-ups. There are still wristbands for sale and there will be a fresh batch of biscuits ready for tomorrow! Read Anayla's leaflet about why she thinks we should all donate to Sport Relief. They are back and heading home for a rest! Hope you all had an 'awesome' week and we're sure that the stories will not stop on Monday. We can't wait to hear all about it guys!
